Summer ‘23 was good to us 🙏🏻

1. There were plenty of sunny rooftops ☀️
2. A trip home to Dublin where our friends from NYC & my best friend met us 🥹 Here we are holding a Leo Burdock’s like it’s our first born child 😂
3. We met our new niece for the very first time 😫 I can’t wait to see her again 🥲
4. Marching in the NYC Pride Parade with my uncle & Dar… core memory 🌈
5. Plenty of race days for Darren including both the NYC & Brooklyn Half Marathons (the full marathon is not too far away now 🫣)
6. A day trip to Philadelphia with Darren’s mam 🫶🏼
7. It was a summer of new hobbies for me including running, softball & golf🏌🏻‍♀️I can now add Irish Dancing to that list 🤣
8. NASHVILLE Y’ALL 🤠 What a place!!
9. New Orleans & Miami for what feels like the last of the hot weather for us (for a while 😋)
10. We had lots of visitors including both our mams, my uncle & @susan8fox ❤️

Looking forward to the cooler weather, cosyness & my favourite season of the year 🍂 🎃 🧥📚 ☕️

For drinks, the most popular area is Bourbon St. in the French Quarter. If I’m being honest though, we didn’t really enjoy the nightlife in New Orleans 🙈 We much preferred Nashville for that sort of entertainment 🤠🎶🍻

The most popular drink is a “Hurricane” 🌀 Proceed with caution ⚠️ & drink responsibly 😅🫶🏼

Accommodation: we stayed at the Bourbon Orleans hotel which was really nice and very “New Orleans” 😅 It’s the Baxter Hotel from the TV show “Your Honor” and said to be one of the Top 10 Most Haunted Hotels in the US 👻

August is considered their off peak season due to the extreme weather so it is very quiet! This suited us for the type of trip we wanted but something to consider while booking 🧳
