Dripping Gold Wonder Water is my favourite product released in the last year (at least!) and so I thought I would dedicate a blog post to telling you why! If you’re off on holidays soon, or are just an all round tanning fanatic, this is one not to be missed, trust me!
I’m also in love with the Dripping Gold body tan. you can read all about it and view some pictures here.
Formula
No prizes for guessing that Wonder Water is a water based formula. It comes in a 125ml bottle and I find it is more of a spray rather than a mist. It contains super hydrating ingredients such as Vitamin E, so it doesn’t dry or break out my skin, which is a game changer.
The formula is paraben and cruelty free as well as vegan friendly. Oh and I can’t not mention THE SMELL!!!!!!! My god… it smells like a tropical paradise and no joke, they need to bring out a body lotion or spray in this scent… it’s DIVINE! I didn’t find it developed a tan like smell either.
How to Apply Dripping Gold Wonder Water
I’ve been using Wonder Water since it was first released in February 2019 and here is the best way I have found to apply it. I’ve covered my top tips for tanning your body here.
Step 1: Make sure your face is clean and dry.
Step 2: Lash on a moisture mask or heavy moisturiser. My favourite, and the best for this in my opinion, is the e.l.f. Cosmetics Sleeping Mask. It’s not heavy and absorbs super quickly. I’ve tried the tan without this and I found it did sit on my skin differently and I could see it in the pores around my nose.
Step 3: About 5 sprays of the Wonder Water at arms length (or you will be mahogany :p). I use shade Light to Medium by the way and it is dark enough for me. If I’m wearing a darker tan on my body, I will spray my face twice.
Step 4: Take a clean, fluffy makeup brush and blend the excess water in, paying particular attention to your hairline, jawline (bring it down your neck) and eyebrows! If you have blonde hair, you will obviously need to be careful (use a hairband to cover your hairline and vaseline on your brows!)
Step 5: Leave it on overnight. It starts to develop after about 2 hours and if you wash it off after 4, it will continue to develop, so whichever method you prefer. If you need to apply makeup after application, wait until it’s completely dry.
Step 6: Wash it off the next morning and layer on your fave serum and moisturiser. I usually get about 2 days out of it before I’ve to apply again.

Results
The Light to Medium Wonder Water gives the gift of a beautiful, radiant and natural looking complexion. It’s honestly a stunning shade of tan, not orange, not green, but a golden, sun kissed colour. The combination of the e.l.f. Sleeping Mask and the Wonder Water leaves me with dewy, fresh, plump looking skin and zero dry patches or breakouts!
Wonder Water by Dripping Gold is the most impressive product released in the last year, in my opinion. It does exactly what it claims to do while also not jeopardising your skin! The bottle is 125mls and considering you only use about 4 to 5 pumps at once, it will definitely last you months!
At the incredible and reasonable price of €12.95, I take my hat off to the team at SOSU for this product development. Dripping Gold Wonder Water is available in Penneys and pharmacies nationwide.
