For a while, I was on the hunt for my holy grail foundation, so I bought a lot of them to try before eventually finding it. My holy grail is not in this post though because I wanted to tell you about my least favourites from all of those that I tried. I will tell you about my favourites another time.

These all have one thing in common… they all came highly recommended by other people and so I had high expectations. Some of these are high street/budget and the others are high end/designer, to me, price does not matter when it comes to foundation. You just really need to find the one that suits your skin type and complexion… easier said than done!

I didn’t write in too much detail here because I made a video (below) to chat through my thoughts instead.

Note: I have combination skin.

Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua

Finish: Dewy

Coverage: Light to Medium

Price: €42

L’Oreal Infallible Matte

Finish: Matte

Coverage: Medium

Price:€11

You can also read more about this foundation here when I compared it to the L’Oreal True Match foundation.

Armani Luminous Silk

Finish: Dewy-ish… (you’ll know what I mean when you watch the video!)

Coverage: Medium

Price: €46 (varies amongst retailers)

Bourjois Healthy Mix

Finish: Dewy-ish

Coverage: Medium

Price: €9

The Ordinary High Coverage

Finish: Matte

Coverage: Full

Price: €7

These foundations are adored by many. As I said above, I bought them on the recommendation of other people who swear by them. However, they did not suit my skin and/or complexion. Just because they did not suit me, does not mean they would not suit you. Foundation is a tricky one to recommend and for that reason, you should always try a sample before buying one (especially if it is high end).

My Thoughts

Thanks a million for reading and watching as always!
